Show your college basketball knowledge, by entering the College Basketball News.com Fantasy College Basketball Challenge and battle for cash prizes. Create your own team by selecting the top players from six of the top conferences (ACC, Big 10, Big 12, Big East, Pac-10 and SEC.

 

Rules

 

  1. Pick one player from each group. You can make unlimited trades from that group before the start of the college season. However, once conference play begins, you can only make one trade per group. You want to pick the top performer from each group.

 

  1. An owner receives a point for every point, assist, rebound, blocked shot and steal by their player. The owner with the most points, assists, rebound, blocked shot and steals (PARBS) for the entire league of play will be the overall winner. The points are calculated in conference games only (January-March). Your score is the cumulative total of all your players’ points added together. Highest scoring team wins. Simple. You'll receive a report on your team every two weeks to the email address you provide.

 

  1. The cost for one entry is $59. Two entries for one league’s contest or two entries to a single conference are $109. Three entries are $159, four entries are $209 and five entries are $259. If you enter five separate conference contests, you get the sixth free. If you have three entries to one conference, you will get a fourth entry free.

 

  1. First prize in each league is $2,500. Second place is $1,500, third place is $1,000, fourth place is $500 and fifth place is $300. Prize will be given for the top four scores each two weeks. The contestant with the highest point total each week wins $100. Second place is worth $75, third place is $50 and fourth place is $25. 

 

  1. No purchase necessary. If you wish to participate, void of all services, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: College Basketball News, PO Box 214, Lakeville, MN 55044 by December 1, 2001. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older. Void where prohibited by law. Prize structure is based on 150 entries per league. Deadline to enter is January 1. The winners will be notified by March 15.
